Visit to SRON

Public Transport

SRON Leiden is easily accessible by public transport. From Leiden Centraal, take a bus towards the Leiden Bio Science Park and get off at the “Niels Bohrweg” stop. It’s only a short walk from the stop to SRON. Alternatively, you can take a bike from the station, which will get you to SRON Leiden in about 10 minutes.

Parking at SRON

Visitors can park their cars at the parking lot on Ehrenfestweg, just a 6-minute walk from SRON. This parking lot is equipped with charging stations for electric vehicles.

Navigate to ‘Ehrenfestweg Leiden,’ and as you enter the street, you will see the parking lot on the left, in the side street (marked with a red line on the map). After parking, follow the walking route (marked in green) from the parking garage to SRON.

Arranging Parking in Advance

Please contact your SRON host in advance so they can arrange for the gate to open automatically for your vehicle’s license plate or ensure the reception knows that your parking ticket needs to be validated for exit after your visit. Make sure to arrange this at least 24 hours in advance. Without a validated exit ticket, parking costs €2 per hour.

SRON Leiden is located on the Leiden Bio Science Park.

Public Transport

SRON Groningen is easily reachable by public transport. From Groningen Hoofdstation, take a bus line towards Zernike Noord and get off at the “Nijenborgh” stop. From there, it’s just a short walk to SRON Groningen. The travel time from Groningen Station is about 20 minutes, depending on the time of day.

Parking at SRON

Visitors can park at parking areas P3 and P4. The SRON reception has exit tickets available for these parking areas. Registered visitors can also park in P2, with free exit.
