Profile

Michiel Min is head of the exoplanet science group at SRON. His main research focus is understanding exoplanet atmospheres and planet formation. A selection of active research topics currently include (in strong collaboration with e.g. the UvA, RUG, and Leiden Observatory): - Cloud formation and microphysics in planetary atmospheres - Molecular opacity computations - Clever, machine learning, atmospheric retrieval algorithms - Evolution of planet-forming disks around young stars As head of the exoplanet science group he manages among others the Dutch contributions to ESAs exoplanet missions PLATO and ARIEL.
