ProfileAs an instrument scientist in Utrecht, I work mainly in the Earth programme on the calibration of the TROPOMI instrument, and a bit on predecessor SCIAMACHY. Other work includes optical design of immersed gratings and analysis of grating measurements. My background is a PhD in atomic physics at the Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam, to get Bose-Einstein condensation of metastable helium.
I like to present my analyses as clear as possible. For graphics, I have developed schemes of colours that are also distinct for colour-blind colleagues (https://personal.sron.nl/~pault).
