CO2M is one of the 6 high priority candidate missions of the Copernicus programme led by the European Commission. The mission is targeting a CO2 monitoring and verification support capacity, which aims to estimate anthropogenic CO2 emissions at country and city scales. The primary instrument is an imaging spectrometer (CO2I) with spectral bands in NIR and SWIR dedicated to CO2 observations. Auxiliary instruments consist of a multi-angle polarimeter (MAP) for aerosols measurements, an imaging spectrometer for NO2 measurements and a multi-channel cloud imager. The subject of the MAP elegant bread board (EBB) contained in this project is to reduce the development risks associated with multi-angle polarimeter part of this mission and to demonstrate main performance parameters of the instrument. The EBB contains only the spectropolarimeter part of one viewing port of the MAP excluding the telescope.
