A baseline is a set of documents which formally defines the X-ray Astronomy Recovery Mission/Resolve hardware configuration at a given moment.
The following configuration baselines have been defined for X-ray Astronomy Recovery Mission/Resolve:
-          As Required / As Planned
-          As Designed
-          As Built
-          As Verified

As Required/As Planned baseline:
Contains all requirements and specifications, plans and procedures, for X-ray Astronomy Recovery Mission/Resolve project. These documents are summarized in a Controlled Document Status List (CDSL).

As Designed baseline:
Contains all design- and performance description reports and drawings. These documents are summarized in a Configuration Item Data List (CIDL).

As Built baseline:
Contains all design- and performance description reports and drawings and is completed with the Manufacturing Records (MR), Assembly Reports, Inspection Reports, possible Non-Conformance Reports (NCR) and Requests for Waivers (RfW). These documents are summarized in a As Built Control List (ABCL).

As Verified baseline:
Contains all As Built baseline documents and is completed with the Design Verification Matrix, Verification Control Matrix, Qualification Status List, Test Procedures, Test Reports, Inspection Reports, Safety Reports, Calibration Reports and Logbooks. These documents are summarized in a Verification Control Directory (VCD).

Event Register:
Contains Change Notes (CN), Non-Conformance Reports (NCR), Requests for Deviation (RfD), Requests for Waivers (RfW) Parts Approval Documents (PAD) and Review Item Discrepancy (RID). These are summarized in a Configuration Status List (CSL) or simply called Event register.
