John Heise holds a position as senior scientist at the High Energy Astrophysics division (HEA) of the Space Research Organization Netherlands (SRON) in Utrecht; and is Bijzonder Hoogleraar (Professor by Special Appointment) at the University of Utrecht, Faculty of Physics and Astronomy, on a chair nominated by the Utrecht Natuurkundig Gezelschap (Utrecht Physical Society).
