* = high-inclination source and, therefore, more uncertain accretion rate
** = burst-only sources are those bursters for which one burst was detected and no detection of any appreciable accretion flux, sometimes even within a few hours of the burst. Such sources are very similar to X-ray flashes, which are very soft gamma-ray bursts. Thus, burst-only sources should be considered as uncertain X-ray burster identifications, even though their spectrum is consistent with a black body and the tail shows cooling.
*** = this is the signal of a ms pulsar. Bursts have not been detected yet with RXTE-PCA.
